It’s always a treat to work on a project for a new exhibition, but ‘Respect! Caribbean Life in Edinburgh’ was exceptional!
The Museum Of Edinburgh’s new exhibition was to explore what it is like to grow up in the Caribbean in Scotland, what it means to be Caribbean, Caribbean links with Scotland and how Caribbean food and music has influenced Scottish culture.
I wanted to represent the bright sunny feel of the Caribbean throughout the signage. Together with capturing the positive vibe that emanates from that region.
The project consisted of a series of informational signs in various sizes, together with street signage and internal pop-up banners and even an adapted map of the Caribbean.
Every moment on this project was like working within a sunbeam!
