ABOUT THE PROJECT
Kontiki
Montrose, Angus
Logo/branding, signage, website, menu’s etc…
Our friends at Roo’s Leap – Montrose were expanding and opening a new Tiki style outdoor bar & dining space named ‘Kontiki’. We were asked to create the logo and branding for the project. Followed by a website/page and food, drink and wine menu’s.
We love the Tiki style and it was a pleasure to create this fresh bright spin on the genre.
The heavily styled chunky type was influenced by the Tiki style but also interlocked graffiti lettering, as much of the venue was to be painted by a local graffiti artist named Reckless Art.
The type turned out to be highly flexible, working great in both a vertical and horizontal layout depending on need.
The website/page and food and drink menu’s allowed the brand styling to expand and evolve. Utilising a beautiful header font and bold bright simple layouts. Trying to keep it all fresh and punchy!
Reckless Art‘s on site paintings were awesome and added immeasurably to the Kontiki experience.
