LP packaging
After designing a couple of albums for Joe’s previous outfit Blackanized, we were overjoyed when he was signed to Michael Reinboth’s German label Compost Records and we were invited to design the sleeve artwork.
We needed to create a fresh feeling sleeve to suit the uplifting music whilst also fitting with the labels other output. Starting with a photo of Joe and guitarist David Donnelly busking outside Edinburgh’s long lost vinyl institution Professor Plastics, we cleanly titled it, and then created subtle abstract artwork to enhance the other panels. The LP consisted of double vinyl and also an additional insert.
We went on to design a CD sleeve, multiple 12″ sleeves and later the following sophmore album.
