Kick Ass Hostels
Internal signage & poster
This bold, clear signage was created for the Edinburgh based Kick Ass Hostel and Budget Backpackers Hostel. We wanted to make it as easy and welcoming as possible for their guests to recycle their waste rather than just bin it.
The designs used a bold color scheme matching the bins themselves, and utilized our simple wireframe illustrations of the most commonly recycled items to easily direct the user. This together with bold easily readable titles and a simplified description of what goes where, made these practical signs effective on site.
A bright poster was placed in all rooms to further encourage their guests, which contained a blank space where the location of the nearest recycle point was hand written into to help direct the willing.
