Album sleeve, CD packaging, single covers
Having worked together for a while on smaller projects, the inspirational singer songwriter Luke Concannon invited us to design his new album ‘Ecstatic Bird in the Burning’.
Beautiful painted artwork from Randall Stoltzfus provided some rich imagery to work with. That, merged with the darker bird silhouette, gave a nice contrast in the mood, whilst injecting it with a more naturalistic feel. Clean type was used to balance with the rougher imagery, and frame the cover design.
Joyously, this release included a vinyl release! Always a pleasure!
The package included a four page pull out, enabling the use of some wonderful photo’s of the artists and collaborators, together with the full lyrics.
A digipack CD release was also produced and a jewel case version for US radio stations.
Later, the bird motif was expanded into a T-Shirt design, and a couple of single designs.
