ABOUT THE PROJECT

Wallpaper & Vinyl
We were invited to create new artwork both for the interior design and also the publicity of a new top-end style bar in Edinburgh. The original artwork was so well received that the project expanded to adorn the two storey front windows and many of the walls within the venue.
To create these illustrations we crossed together many different influences, from classic retro wallpapers to New York graffitti, psychedelic sixties poster art to comic book illustrations. The idea was to produce something that represented the quality of the venue and also its youthful, modern and exciting take on the style bar format.
They were used extensively throughout the two storey venue. From adorning the back wall of the main bar itself, and various feature walls throughout, to black and white versions adorning the back walls of four seating booths. Giant vinyl versions covered the large front glass facadé, with the front of the bar itself consisting of a large Corian panel, where the illustration was carved out at three different depths, then backlit with a cycling primary colour.
They looked amazing on site, and this has been one of our favourite projects to work on over the years.
