We were invited by the Bruce Taverns Group to create a new website for the nightclub and gig venue The Mash House. The medium sized venue plays home to a great selection of underground clubs and djs together with an inspired selection of new and established bands regularly playing live.
They had already been using facebook to promote their events but now needed their own website, both to promote these events and also the hiring of their space for clubs, gigs and private functions.
This responsive website contains all the usual selection of facilities, location and contact pages, and also utilises a large events calendar featuring up to date listings of what’s on. New bookings can be easily added by the client, which are added to their calendar and listings pages, with the next few events being presented on their home page and the next three clubs and next three gigs being promoted throughout the site.
The design was created to suit the vibrant mood of the venue’s events, using a clean layout highlighted by some great photographs from the incredible Chris Scott (www.chrisdonia.co.uk) to try to capture the feel of being there. Each event has its own imagery and this is used prominently throughout the site to represent the vitality of their line-up and give each event its own identity.
The build was undertaken by regular collaborators the great Roslin Design (www.roslindesign.com) who also built our own 16K design website (the one you’re currently looking at!).
