ABOUT THE PROJECT
Music Category Icons
Kenny’s Music
Kenny’s Music, Scotland’s finest purveyors of music equipment. Invited us to create a series of icon illustrations to represent the categories of equipment they sell.
The instrument images varied in size and shape, so we added the neon-esque circular design to help pull them all together and equalise their impact. This lead to illustrating the instruments in a similar ‘neon’ style, splitting them between the two primary colors.
The key was to illustrate each instrument in a similar style so all the icons balance with each other.
The icons are used online and in store, together with being used on various promotional graphics and window vinyl.
