The indomitable Belshazaar’s Feast asked us to design the CD sleeve for their first winter themed album ‘Frost Bites’. We wanted to avoid any of the usual ‘winter’ design styles, whilst retaining a rich glow about the artwork as was suited to the warmth of their music.
We illustrated the photographs in photoshop with this frosty but vibrant design, using spray, clouds and snowflake vector illustrations. Then translating this style across all the panels of the sleeve whilst also bringing in a bit of contrast between the dark and light panels. Hopefully we captured the wintry mood in a fresh, unique way!
