We were invited to create a logo for a new dance studio opening in Edinburgh. Alba Flamenca crossed their Spanish influences with the Scottish location to create a unique studio, teaching flamenco amongst other dance styles, and were looking for strong branding that captured the movement and flow of their passion.
We hand painted the logo type to keep a natural feel about the lettering, and designed the diamond symbol containing overlapping arcs to signifying a dancers movements. These arcs were translated into window vinyl and gave a unique identity to the building. The exterior signage letters were made from brushed aluminium and raised from the backboard. Square protruding signs were also fitted featuring the rearranged logo.
The studio had a tapas bar attached next door named El Bar, for which we created lettering in the same style.
